![]() ![]() ![]() Fantastic Four is emphasized for branding reasons, but I’d direct a voice actor to say it with a dismissive emphasis. “What’s this?” would read the same way “What’s THIS?” would on Tumblr, easy to get. Spitting the word out, frustrated with himself for underestimating the Thing. “He’s stronger than I thought!” is silly if you’re doing the ATt4W bit (Sorry Linkara) of just shouting it, but it makes perfect sense if you take it in context of Hulk’s frustration. I imagine this being said through gritted teeth, and the ‘stone wall’ is said with an extra angry push. “ Aaargh! It’s like hitting a stone wall.” You get an emphasis for the growl, easy to pick up, and you have stone wall, that’s what’s important to the reader (to understand that the Thing’s rocky skin isn’t just for show) and to the Hulk. You read a page like this in a few seconds, but this is a couple of minutes worth of action, and about four pages of comic if scripted in a modern decompressed style (which I personally don’t like)Īnd lets look at the emphasis Hulk uses here. ![]()
